Despite all of the early success, they weren’t done just yet. Arkansas’ total sports betting handle would reach over $11 million to close out the year before nearly tripling to over $30 million in 2020. ![]() Oaklawn, Southland Casino & Racing, and Saracen Casino Resort would end up being the only three land-based casinos open for business in the state. Once Amendment 100 was officially given the green light, the first legal sports bet in the state’s history was placed at Oaklawn Racing Casino Resort in July 2019.
